You're a Star!

This week Tiny Bee is her class' Student of the Week! This means we had to spend around an hour and a half filling out a poster. Which, since she is just starting to read, meant I got to write the entire thing out in dot-trace letters for her. This is time consuming and hand-cramping work. I was actually really proud of some of the answers she gave though and I'm excited to hear how her presentation of the poster today goes.

In honor of her "star status" we have a special star themed lunch today!

Today's main dish is a star shaped sandwich with bologna, mustard and cheese. Accompanying the sandwich is a purple bunny egg, some black olives, Annie's Bunny Graham Crackers, and Stonyfield Farm Fruit Snacks.

I try not to do sandwiches too often in her lunches because they can get boring. Still, there's a reason it's been the default lunch item of choice for so long.

For our veggies, she got a bunch of celery and a few Ants on a Log made with Wow Butter, hoping that goes over well, apparently someone shared their Ants on a Log with her last week and she was a fan. Unsure if she's a fan of celery, I was at her age! Even had a stuffed dog I named Celery, I may have been a little strange.

Moving on... A whole mandarin orange and some grapes rounded out the lunch with some healthy fruits! Like all kids, Tiny Bee can't get enough of these sweet little oranges, so this should go over well.
