It features fun shaped sandwiches that couldn't be easier to make.
The secret behind these cute ham and cheese sandwiches is the cookie cutter presses that I've had for years from Williams Sonoma. The current set they have is a little different than the one I have but still comes with the shapes I used here.
To press the shapes complete with impressions you need to first flatten your sandwich bread. You can use a rolling pin or the side of a drinking glass. Once it's flattened, use the cutters by placing them on your bread and pressing down on both the top and plunger.
For the back pieces of bread I did not use the plunger, so that only the top piece has the face. I also used the cutters to cut ham and cheese into the same shapes to complete the sandwich.
For more decoration a stick of string cheese, sliced into rounds makes great little moons or planets. Tiny sandwich stars and hearts filled with either Wow Butter or cheese added another fun element.
Also in our main box we have strawberry Stonyfield Farm Fruit Snacks and more of the Bunny Grahams.
In our side compartments we went simple as well. For veggies we have raw broccoli sprinkled with raw carrots and sugar snap peas. I was going for a veggie star-field look here.
We also have a small serving of Tiny's Bee's favorites: black olives. (Side note, she likes to stick her fingertips into the olives until she has one on each finger of one hand then wiggle around her olive fingers before eating each one. Kids do funny things.)
And in fruit, we've again gone with strawberry hearts and blueberries.
This lunch was easy to throw together while remaining cute and healthy, loved it!
