Giraffe? Giraffe!!

Tiny Bee has always loved giraffes. We've been checking in with April the Giraffe's Live Feed often, but waiting for baby giraffes isn't easy. To make up for it we wore our new adorable Giraffe shirt and there's a little surprise waiting for her in her lunch box!

Read about the lunch, plus a bonus cute food write up at the end!

I loved making today's lunch. I knew when I started making cute lunches that a Giraffe would be coming. I had been brainstorming ways to pull it off, some of which I may still do to make more giraffe lunches. Today, Tiny Bee requested a jelly sandwich and a bunny egg. The giraffe head and neck are two separate sandwiches stacked together. The giraffe muzzle is a sliced banana muffin, with prune details. More muffin was placed under to prop it up.

The cute eyes are a recent purchase, I had seen them used elsewhere and after last week's creepy fail... well, I wanted better options for eyes. These Wilton Candy Eyes fit the bill nicely. Cheese Giraffe spots and some crust of bread ossicones finished off the design.

Some extra cheese flowers and the blue bunny egg make up the rest of the main compartment.

For fruits, we have heart strawberries, and red and green grapes. Plus some bonus cherry tomatoes. Yum!

And for veggies, pickles and olives. Not the most healthy, but the only thing she'll eat in the veggie category.

I can't wait to ask her what she thinks when she gets home!

As a special bonus for this lovely Monday, here's the Sunday that Tiny Bee helped to make last night!

She's getting in to the cute food groove and I couldn't be happier!

Although she instructed me to draw on eyes, ears, nostrils, and mouths for the piggies and then to put down a chocolate syrup mud puddle, she did all the sprinkles and placed the marshmallows. It was a great end to the day and a treat for a very patient little girl who hung out, didn't complain (much) and didn't get into trouble while we cleaned and organized the garage for four hours yesterday.
